Hiya, nice to meet you. I'm Katy!

With the relaunch of my portrait and wedding photography website, I figured there was no better time to introduce myself!

My journey with photography started back when I was 14 years old when my parents gifted me with my very first point and shoot camera. Lets just say, I was hooked. I then graduated to "borrowing" my dad's DSLR anytime I could get my hands on it. In 2018, I shot my very first Wedding on the Oregon Coast and instantly fell in love with capturing such special moments.

I have a background in Resort and Hotel Management and worked in the hospitality industry for many years. I am very thankful for my education and experience in this industry, as it has set me up with some incredible skills that transfer over to wedding photography. My attention to detail has never been better!

Born and raised in the beautiful West Kootenays, I have a deep appreciation for the landscapes available in my backyard. I am primarily an outdoor photographer where I can incorporate portraits with the beauty of our surroundings. When I'm not behind the lens, you can find me paddle boarding in one of the regions many lakes, hiking new trails, or road tripping to scope out hidden gems.

Travel is a huge passion of mine and I've been fortunate to have seen some amazing destinations. I've caught the travel bug, constantly researching and saving to explore new bucket list destinations. Here are some of my all time favourite destinations:

• San Miguel de Allande, Mexico

• Kauai

• Aruba
